In a come-from-behind effort, the Mavericks were able to rally in the sixth inning to take the second game of the overall series against Western.

After WIU jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the third inning, the Mavericks answered with five in the bottom of the sixth. After Gamm scored on a throwing error to make it 4-1, Thomas DeBonville launched a grand slam for his sixth home run of the season to make it 5-4.
