Started 46 of 51 appearances on the season… Summit League Regular Season and Tournament Champion… Summit League All-Tournament Team… Finished with a .245 batting average with a .393 slugging percentage and a .367 on-base percentage… Registered a .989 fielding percentage with 85 putouts… Totaled 28 runs on 40 hits with 13 doubles, a triple and three home runs with 22 RBI… Notched a double in the Feb. 17 win at USC… Had a career-day hitting and went a perfect 4-for-4 with a run and a double in the March 8 win at Santa Clara… Notched three-straight multi-hit games in the home series against Purdue Fort Wayne from March 22-24…Registered three-straight doubles against South Dakota State twice (April 6 doubleheader) and at Kansas State (April 10)… Notched a homer and two hits with two runs scored April 12 at Oral Roberts… Also recorded a home run and went 2-for-4 at the plate with three runs scored and three RBI in the quarterfinal round of The Summit League Tournament against Western Illinois... Recorded his final collegiate hit on a double against Baylor in the NCAA Division I Los Angeles Regional.

As a Junior (2018)
Appeared in 45 games with 41 starts on 128 at-bats… Finished with a .203 batting average with 15 runs, 26 hits along with four doubles and three home runs… Also had 17 RBI on the season with a .305 slugging percentage and a .360 on-base percentage… Totaled 90 putouts with six assists for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in the outfield… Went 2-for-6 with two hits for two RBI along with a double in the season-opener against Northwestern (Feb. 17, 2018) where he batted .333… Recorded his first home run of the season vs Ohio (March 3) going 1-for-4… Went 1-for-2 at Ohio with an RBI and a double on March 2… Also had a home run and a season-best of six RBI against Fort Wayne, going 2-for-3 with two hits (March 17, 2018)… Had a season-best of three hits (3-for-5) against Creighton May 9, 2018 with one run and an RBI... Named to The Summit League Academic Honor Roll. 

Southeast CC
Played two years for coach Dion Parks...In his first season, hit .293 with six home runs, six doubles and 24 RBI...Led his team to a 35-21 record while qualifying for the regional championship...As a sophomore, helped his team to the NJCAA World Series...Named NJCAA Player of the Week...Academic All-American.

Papillion-La Vista South High School
Two-year letterwinner for Coach Bill Lynam...As a senior, led the Titans in slugging percentage, RBI and extra-base hits...As a senior, part of a state runner-up team in American Legion ball...As a junior, hit .411 while the Titans finished fifth in the state...Also lettered four years in tennis...Four-year state tennis qualifier...Part of back-to-back teams that finished third in his junior and senior seasons...Earned an All-Metro Academic Award.

Born Aug. 25, 1996 in Omaha, Neb....Parents are Jim and DeeDee Palensky...Has three brothers -- Caleb, Sam and Aaron -- and one sister, Leah...Father played at UNO from 1984-85 and later served as an assistant coach for the Mavericks...Caleb was a four-year letterwinner in baseball (2011-14), while Sam was a two-year letterwinner in baseball at Omaha (2016-17)...Hobbies include playing video games and spending time with friends...Majoring in emergency management.
