OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's tennis team fell to IUPUI, 4-3, at Miracle Hill Tennis Center on Thursday. The loss drops the Mavericks to 10-11 (1-3 Summit League) on the season.

IUPUI secured the doubles point with two victories to start the dual. At No. 2, senior Molly Matricardi and freshman Kylie Boyer were defeated by the pair of Rachel Swartwood/Mariella Pessina, 6-4. The duo of junior Kenzie Hill and freshman Janelle Wilson fell to the team of Brigitte Swartwood/Valeriia Lavrenchuk at No. 3 by a score of 6-2. At No. 1, sophomore Michelle Lo and junior Hylan Miller were leading, but the match went unfinished.

The Mavericks and Jaguars split the singles matches, with Lo, Wilson and Boyer all picking up wins. Lo defeated Lavrenchuk at No. 1, 6-4, 6-2. Wilson earned her team-best ninth singles win on the season with a victory at the No. 4 position, 6-4, 1-6, 4-3, and Boyer defeated Swartwood at No. 5 by a tally of 6-0, 6-2.

Omaha returns to action on Friday, April 22 for a league matchup against Western Illinois. The match is set for Noon at Miracle Hill Tennis Center.
