LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Omaha men's golf team came in 14th at the UALR First Tee Classic hosted by Arkansas Little Rock.
The Mavericks fired a final round team score of 327 on Tuesday to finish at 941 in the 15-team event. Lipscomb took first with a score of 884 for the 54-hole tournament. Tennessee Martin was second, one shot back, while host Little Rock was third at 901.
Ben Maskus finished as UNO's leading scorer with a total of 230 that included a final round of 82. He tied for 34th in the field of 84 golfers.
Mitch Ryan and
Kevin Gordon both carded rounds of 83 on Tuesday. Ryan finished at 232 for the tournament, good for a tie for 42nd, while Gordon closed at 239 to end up in a tie for 67th.
Cameron MacGregor had UNO's best third round score, 79, to finish at 240 for the event, good for a tie for 69th.
Sam Musch completed the scoring for UNO with a total of 254 that included a final round of 83.
The Mavericks return to Arkansas for the Red Wolves Intercollegiate hosted by Arkansas State on Monday and Tuesday, April 4-5 in Jonesboro, Ark.
