Omaha Visits In-State Foe Nebraska


OMAHA, Neb.
 – The Omaha women's tennis team travels down I-80 to Lincoln this Saturday, March 12, taking on Nebraska at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center at 3 p.m.

The Mavericks are coming off a hard-fought victory against Southeast Missouri last Saturday. Omaha edged the Redhawks 4-3 on the road to improve to 5-6 (0-1 Summit League) on the season.

Juniors Hylan Miller and Kenzie Hill and freshman Janelle Wilson each have five singles wins to lead UNO this year. In doubles, Miller and sophomore Michelle Lo pace Omaha with a 5-1 mark.

Nebraska enters the match with a record of 12-2 (1-1 Big Ten) after the Huskers dropped their last contest against No. 62 Purdue, 5-2, on March 5. Nebraska is led by Maggy Lehmicke, who owns a 10-3 record at No. 1 singles.
 

Saturday marks the first meeting between Omaha and Nebraska.

Omaha returns to action on
 Tuesday, March 22, traveling south to take on Alcorn State in Lorman, Miss.
