A series of runs throughout the first half propelled Omaha to a 20-point lead by halftime. The Mavericks opened the game on an 8-0 stretch and later put together an 11-0 spurt bookended by buckets from sophomore center Zach Pirog to lead 23-7 at 12:42. Between 7:30 and 6:54, Hahn singlehandedly accounted for a 6-0 run with a layup, a free throw and a trey, making it 38-20. Omaha then closed the half on a 10-0 stretch, taking a 54-34 edge at the intermission.

An 18-1 scoring push early in the second half brought the tally to 72-37 at 16:05. With 6:26 remaining, junior guard Alex Allbery nailed a three up top, assuring every Maverick on the box score at least one bucket and bringing Omaha over the century threshold for the first time this season. Omaha took its largest advantage of the game three minutes later, leading the Beavers 107-56 before going on to the 112-65 victory.
