Taylor Sidzyik shot a career-low round on Monday to lead the Omaha men's golf team on the first day of play at the UALR First Tee Classic.
The Mavericks are 15th out of 16 teams in the field with a 36-hole score of 605. Tulsa leads with a score of 575 followed by host Arkansas Little Rock at 577. Memphis is third at 581.
Sidzyik shot a score of 71 in the second round, one stroke better than his previous career best. Through 36 holes, he has a score of 145, good for a tie for 16th.
Karl Krieser is second for the Mavs and tied for 52nd overall with rounds of 74 and 77 for a score of 151.
Alex Holtan shot 80 and 75 for a total of 155 that puts him third for the Mavericks and in a tie for 73rd in the field of 90 golfers.
Phillip Baumberger is fourth for UNO with a score of 156 that includes rounds of 77 and 79.
Caleb Haight rounds out the scoring for the Mavericks with a score of 160, carding scores of 83 and 77.
The final round begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
