POWELLS POINT, N.C. – The Omaha men's golf team closed the fall half of its season with an 18th-place finish at the ODU/Outerbanks Invitational on Tuesday.
The Mavericks posted a final round team score of 307 to finish at 911 for the 54-hole tournament. Campbell won the event with a score of 841, 13 strokes clear of Bowling Green in second. Host Old Dominion was third at 857.
Kevin Gordon finished as UNO's top scorer in the tournament with a three-round total of 223 including a final round tally of 76. He finished in a tie for 40th.
Mitch Ryan was second for UNO and tied for 49th overall with a score of 225. He shot 78 on Tuesday.
Miles Russell had the Mavericks' best third round, 73, to finish at 229, good for a tie for 67th.
Ben Maskus shot 81 in round three and finished at 235, good for a tie for 84th.
Sam Musch concluded the scoring with a three-day total of 243 that included a final round of 80.
