DENVER, Colo. – The UNO women's tennis team picked up its third conference win of the season on Saturday, defeating IUPUI, 4-3. With the win, the Mavericks improve to 7-11 (3-2 Summit League), while the Jaguars fall to 3-19 (1-4 Summit League).

The Mavericks won all three doubles matches to take the doubles point. At No. 1, senior Alex Tran and sophomore Tiffany Hottman defeated Julie Brockman and Abbey Neff, 8-5. Freshman duo Hylan Miller and Kenzie Hill defeated Rachael Bridegroom and Rachel Swartwoot, 8-4 at No. 2.  Finishing out the sweep, sophomore Molly Matricardi and junior Jacqueline Baude downed Vanessa Whyte and Bobbi Modesto, 8-6, at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Omaha started strong, winning at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions.  At No. 1, Tran bested Whyte, 6-0, 6-1. At No. 2, Miller defeated Bridegroom, 6-1, 6-2. Seizing the clinching match for the Mavs was Baude at No. 6, defeating Brockman 6-2, 6-4 to seal the match for the Mavs.

Omaha returns to action on Sunday, April 20, finishing up its weekend in Denver, Colo., by facing Denver. The match is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start time.
