POWELLS POINT, N.C. – The Omaha men's golf team is in 13th place after the first day of play at the ODU/Outerbanks Invitational at the Kilmarlic Golf Course.
The Mavericks finished day one with a team score of 308. Maryland and Drake are tied for the lead at 294 followed by host Old Dominion in third at 295. The second round begins at 7:30 a.m. CT on Monday. This is UNO's final tournament of the fall season.
Karl Krieser led the Mavericks on day one and is in a five-way tie for seventh with a one-over round of 72.
Taylor Sidzyik is second for the Mavericks and tied for 49th in the field of 84 with a score of 77. That score put him two shots ahead of teammate
Alex Holtan who is third for the Mavericks. His score of 79 has him in a tie for 61st.
Brandon Sletmoen carded an 80 in the first round to put him fourth for Uno and in a tie for 64th.
Phillip Baumberger shot an 82 to tie him with three others for 72nd.
