FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The UNO men's tennis team was swept in a pair of Summit League matches on Friday. IUPUI beat Omaha 6-1 Friday morning, and Fort Wayne topped UNO in the afternoon, 6-1.

The Mavs are now 4-9 on the season and 0-3 in league play.

Against IUPUI, the Mavs lost all three doubles matches and five of six singles matches. Connor Larson picked up the lone point for the Mavs with a 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (2) victory over IUPUI's Deon Shafer at No. 4 singles. Despite the score appearing one-sided, four of the six singles matches went to three sets and three of those four matches went the Jaguars' way.

In the afternoon match against Fort Wayne, the Mavs again failed to pick up a win in a doubles match. Conner Tieszen and John Ellis dropped their Nos. 1 and 2 singles matches in 10-7 third sets. Carlos Ramos Salazar earned the only win for the Mavs with a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles over Martin Muadi.

The Mavericks are back in action at Valparaiso on Saturday at 10 a.m.
