OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO men's tennis team wrapped up its 2012-13 season with a 6-1 loss to Bradley on Friday night at Hanscom Brandeis Tennis Center.
The Mavericks finished the season 5-16 with an 0-5 Summit League record. The Mavs are ineligible for the conference tournament until 2015-16. Bradley improved to 13-9.
The Braves won all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead before singles play began. Bradley went on to win the first five singles matches. UNO's only point came from senior
Matt Frost, playing his final match of his career. Frost beat Kevin Keiner, 7-5, 1-6, 7-6 (7) at No. 6 singles to finish his career on a positive note. Frost's win gave him a 7-11 final record to match
Carlos Ramos Salazar for the most singles wins on the team this spring. He leaves UNO as the school's all-time wins leader with 23. Fellow Maverick
Eric McKnight has 15 entering his senior season next year.
Peter Greteman is the other Maverick senior who played his final match on Friday night. Greteman teamed with his brother,
Nathan Greteman, to compete at No. 3 doubles. The Greteman brothers were beaten by Keiner and Justin Abrams, 8-3.
