HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Omaha women's tennis continued play on its Spring Break trip on Wednesday, falling 7-0 to Georgia Southern at the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort. The Mavericks are now 3-7 (1-1 Summit League) on the year.
GSU won all three matches to capture the doubles point. The Eagles then took all six singles matches, but the No. 2 slot proved a tight contest, as
Alex Tran took Jordana Klein to three sets before falling 6-1, 2-6, 13-11.
Following an off day, Omaha returns to action on Friday, March 22 to face Kutztown. The match will begin at 3 p.m. at Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort.
