Bison Edge Mavs in Overtime, 2-1

Box Score FARGO, N.D. - Lauren Miller scored her second goal of the game with 1:40 left in the first overtime period to give North Dakota State a 2-1 win over the UNO women's soccer team on Friday night.

The Mavericks dropped to 3-6-2 overall and 1-1 in The Summit League. NDSU is now 6-7 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Miller got the Bison on the board at 13:53 when she got free down the right side and finished into the upper left corner for a 1-0 NDSU lead.

But the Mavericks tied the game in the 40th minute on an own goal by North Dakota State that came after a Hannah Wampler corner kick.

The teams played the rest of the way even and went to sudden-death overtime. At 98:20, Anisha Kinnarath slotted a pass to Miller, and she finished from 10 yards out into the lower right corner.

NDSU outshot UNO 11-9 overall and 6-3 in shots on goal.

The Mavs continue their road trip at South Dakota State on Sunday.
