Final Results

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha men's tennis team was swept by Arkansas in its spring season opener, 7-0, on Sunday at Hanscom Brandeis Tennis Center.

The Razorbacks (1-0), ranked 56th in the ITA preseason rankings, began the day by sweeping the three doubles matches to take the doubles point from the Mavs (0-1).

Victor Hoang and Gregoire Lehmann beat Peter Greteman and Eric McKnight at No. 1, 8-4. Christian Lee and Mike Ward defeated Carlos Ramos Salazar and Conner Tieszen at No. 2, 8-4. And at No. 3, Pete Thomason and Austin Robles beat Matt Frost and Connor Larson, 8-2.

In singles play, Lee defeated Larson at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-1, to start things off. Ward then picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win over Ramos Salazar at No. 3 singles. Lehmann defeated Tieszen, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1 singles to give Arkansas its fourth point and clinch the dual.

At No. 2 singles, Hoang beat McKnight in the most competitive match of the day, 7-6 (4), 6-3. Robles beat Greteman at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-1, and Thomason capped off the day by beating Frost, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 5 singles to give Arkansas the sweep.

The Mavericks continue their stretch of five straight matches at home to start the spring when they host Nebraska Wesleyan on Feb. 1 at Hanscom Brandeis Tennis Center.
