The UNO men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 match to future Summit League foe UMKC on Friday at the Plaza Tennis Center, then defeated Emporia State 6-3 in Emporia, Kan., later in the day.

The Mavs are now 4-8 on the season after the split.

Against Emporia State, Anthony Forcucci rallied from losing a first-set tiebreaker to win the final two sets of his match and take a 6-7 (13-15), 6-2, 10-4 victory at No. 2 singles. Connor Larson won at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 3-6, 10-7, and Andrew Lescelius picked up a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.

UNO also took all three doubles matches against the Hornets. Peter Greteman and Carlos Ramos Salazar picked up an 8-6 at No. 1 over Andrew Davids and Mat Edwards; Larson and Forcucci won No. 2 against Mitch Kibbe and Matt Van Horn, 8-4, and Nathan Greteman and Ben Williams won 8-3 in the No. 3 slot over Christian Lollar and Ethan Deckert.

UNO will face IPFW in Kansas City on Saturday at 4 p.m.
