Box Score Final Stats

GREELEY, Colo.
- The UNO women's soccer team concluded the 2011 regular season with a 1-0 loss at Northern Colorado Friday night.

The Bears, co-champions of the Big Sky, scored off of a corner kick with just under six minutes left in the game to take the 1-0 win. The Mavericks ended the season with a 5-7-2 record, while Northern Colorado finished the regular season 8-7-4 and 4-1-2 in the Big Sky.

Alexsys Tamayo scored at the 84:05 mark to break the scoreless deadlock. Kimmie Feidler played in a corner kick, and JJ Wykstra flicked it on to Tamayo, who finished for the only goal of the game.

The Mavs' best scoring chance came late in the first half, but a Katie Pickinpaugh header sailed over the crossbar. Pickinpaugh also had the Mavs' only shot on goal, which came in the 77th minute.

UNC outshot UNO 14-7 overall and 7-1 on goal. Katelyn Tschida made six saves for the Mavericks in the loss.

Friday's game brought to an end UNO's first season as a Division I transitional school. The Mavericks will face a full Summit League schedule next season.
