Chase Petersen continued their successes as they were triumphant at No. 1 doubles against Josh Raymond and John Steinke of UNK, 9-8. The win moved the pairing to 5-1 overall on the season in duals. However, the doubles competition ended poorly when
John Diamantis and
Ryan Schmidt fell in No. 3 doubles, 8-2.
The singles competition started brightly for the Mavs when
Drew Mercier won in No. 1 singles over Josh Raymond, 6-1, 6-3. Senior
Chase Petersen won a close match in No. 3 singles as he downed his opponent, 6-5, 7-5. But it was not meant to be as
Jon McQuistan lost in one of more more entertaining matches of the evening in No. 5 singles, 4-6, 6-0 (10-8).
UNO defeated Hastings College last week, and they look to do it again when they visit the Broncos in their second meeting of the season on March 25 at 4 p.m.
