OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks suffered their first loss of the season as they fell to Creighton, 9-0 Tuesday afternoon at Hanscom Park Tennis Center. Nebraska-Omaha fell to 1-1 while the Bluejays improved to 1-2.

UNO's No. 1 doubles team of Drew Mercier and Chase Petersen gave the Bluejays a chalenge as they won seven games in a 9-7 loss. Peter Greteman and Jon McQuistan won three games at No. 2 doubles.

The Mavericks were beaten in straight sets in singles play but Mercier made it tough at No. 1 singles, falling 6-4, 6-4.

The Mavericks will continue action Friday with a home dual at 6 p.m. against Graceland.
