OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks opened the 2009-10 spring portion of the schedule with a 9-0 loss to NCAA Division I Arkansas-Little Rock Monday afternoon at Hanscom Park Tennis Center.
Nebraska-Omaha will look for its first win when it hosts Nebraska Wesleyan Friday at 6:30 p.m. The Maverick men will open their spring season at that time, also against Nebraska Wesleyan.

Traci Moklestad took four games from Anne Weijenborg in the first set in the No. 1 singles match. Moklestad also teamed with
Kelsey Haas to win four sets from UALR's No. 1 doubles team in the race to eight sets.
Heather Hottman won a total of five sets at No. 3 singles as that match was won, 6-2, 6-3, by Nathalia Garay.
The Trojans (2-2) are in a stretch where they are playing six straight matches in either Omaha or Lincoln, Neb. Former Maverick great Abby Wilson is the coach of UALR. The five-time North Central Conference individual champion helped UNO to two conference titles as she played from 2003-04 through 2005-06.
