OMAHA, Neb. - Freshman defender #Danielle Archuleta# scored her first career goal, which proved to be the game winner to help lead the Nebraska-Omaha soccer team to its third consecutive win Thursday afternoon over Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association rival Central Missouri.

Junior goalkeeper #Lauren Fox# started for the second time this season and did not allow a goal while making seven saves as the Mavericks completed their three-game homestand with a 2-0 win over the Jennies.

With the win UNO improves to 4-3, 3-0 MIAA, while UCM falls to 3-3-1, 2-1 MIAA.

The two teams battled the entire first half with out a goal. Archuleta changed that with just under two minutes off the clock in the second half when she buried a loose ball past UCM goalkeeper Lauren Bamvakais at 46:52. The goal was unassisted, but was sprung from a #Nicole Baier# corner kick.

Sophomore forward #Jerica Kuncl scored her third goal of the season from a Jessica Powers# pass at 80:31.

UNO out shot UCM 13-12.

The Mavericks will be back on the field Saturday, Sept. 19 when they face Missouri Southern. Kickoff is slated for noon.
