With the win, the Mavericks improved to 6-7 overall and 2-1 in the MIAA. Southwest Baptist fell to 7-7 and 0-2.
Thommes hit a blistering .818 with nine kills in 11 attempts with no errors. Hanssen hit a career-high .500 with nine kills, one error, in 16 attempts.
