GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four Mavericks were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team®, the organization announced Tuesday.
Morgan DeBow
DeBow makes her first appearance on the CSC Academic All-District® list. The outside hitter from Overland Park, Kan. appeared in 25 matches and played a total of 87 sets in 2025. DeBow secured 168.5 points for the Mavericks with 134 kills, 35 assisted blocks and 3 solo blocks. This season she recorded the first ace of her collegiate career and then added 13 more. DeBow has maintained a 3.82 GPA with a major in communication disorders.
Davis Guetterman
Guetterman made an immediate impact on the Mavericks in her first year with the team. The setter from Louisburg, Kan. played in every match and every set for Omaha. Guetterman tallied 467 assists during the 2025 campaign to push her career total over 1,000. She also served 19 aces and recorded 133 digs. The graduate student has a 4.00 graduate GPA in accounting.
Emily Huss
Huss played in every match for the Mavericks and all but one set. The Second Team All-Summit League honoree led the league in assisted blocks with 136 and total blocks with 153. The middle blocker from Fairbury, Neb. secured 174 points for Omaha. Huss has maintained a 3.70 GPA in kinesiology.
Kali Jurgensmeier
Jurgensmeier ends her career with her second CSC Academic All-District® honor. The outside hitter from Wahoo, Neb. led the Mavericks in kills with 353 and 423.5 points. Jurgensmeier also recorded six solo blocks, 71 assisted blocks, 29 aces and 203 digs. She played in every match and every set for Omaha this season. Jurgensmeier has maintained a 3.80 GPA in biology.
To qualify for CSC Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's sets played or must start in at least 66% of the institution's total matches, carry a GPA of 3.50 or higher, and be a sophomore in athletic and academic standing.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Jurgensmeier was selected as a finalist for Academic All-America® and has advanced to the national ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Jan. 13, 2026.
