2026 Volleyball schedule set

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Volleyball's 2026 schedule is set. 

The Mavericks will host Wichita State on Saturday, Aug. 15 and travel to Northern Iowa on Saturday, Aug. 22 to play their exhibition matches. 

"We're happy with how the schedule came together this year and we are excited to get back on the court," head coach Matt Buttermore said. 

Omaha will officially open the 2026 season at Washington State on Friday, Aug. 28, with a game against Central Michigan the following day. 

Back in the 402, the Mavs will host a tournament to open play at Baxter Arena. Omaha will face Western Michigan on Thursday, Sept. 3, Louisiana Tech on Friday, Sept. 4 and Chicago State on Saturday, Sept. 5. 

The Mavs will head west for another tournament, this time hosted by Northern Arizona. Omaha will take on the hosts on Thursday, Sept. 10 before facing UC Riverside on Friday, Sept. 11 and Grand Canyon on Saturday, Sept. 12. 

With two games left in the non-conference slate, the Mavericks will play at Drake on Tuesday, Sept. 15 before coming home to play K-State on Saturday, Sept. 19 for the non-conference finale. 

Summit League play will begin up north against North Dakota on Thursday, Sept. 24 and North Dakota State on Saturday, Sept. 26. 

To open October, the Mavs will host South Dakota State on Thursday, Oct. 1, South Dakota on Saturday, Oct. 3 and St. Thomas on Friday, Oct. 9. 

October continues with a trip to Oral Roberts on Thursday, Oct. 15 and Kansas City on Saturday, Oct. 17 to wrap up the first half of conference play. 

NDSU and UND will make the trip to Omaha on Thursday, Oct. 22 and Saturday, Oct. 24, respectively. 

For the final road trip of the regular season, the Mavs will face South Dakota on Thursday, Oct. 29, SDSU on Saturday, Oct. 31 and St. Thomas on Friday, Nov. 6. 

A visit from Kansas City on Thursday, Nov. 12 and Oral Roberts on Saturday, Nov. 14 will close out the regular season.
