OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO swimming and diving team gave itself an early Christmas present, beating the University of South Dakota 163-135 in action at HPER pool on Friday night. Sophomore #
Laura Kemp# led the way with individual wins in three events.
Kemp started her night with the 100-yard breaststroke, winning in a time of 1:08.45, just a half a second ahead of South Dakota's Shannon Moceri who finished at 1:09.09.
Kemp returned for the 200-yard breaststroke, earning the win in a time of 2:26.84. The Omaha native finished her night with a first in the 200-yard individual medley. She posted a time of 2:10.06, more than 3 seconds clear of the field.
UNO's #
Lindsey Kline# won the longest race of the evening, the 1000 yard freestyle. She posted a time of 10:41.60 besting South Dakota's twin threat, Sara and Mary Holman by 22 seconds. They finished second and third respectively.

Cait Hopkins# was the other multiple winner for the Mavericks. She won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 52.98 and came back to win the 200-yard freestyle at 1:54.76.

The win helps the Mavericks even their dual meet record at 4-4. They're now off until hosting Nebraska on January 30.
