Mavericks Fall to Missouri State, Truman State

Final Results

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The University of Nebraska at Omaha swimming and diving team dropped both ends of a double-dual swim meet Saturday afternoon in Kirksville, Mo. at the Pershing Natatorium. The Mavericks fell 80-42 to Missouri State and 90-32 to host Truman State.

UNO was led in the water by #Laura Kemp# who finished first in the 400 yard individual medley with a time of 4:39.02. Kemp also finished third in both the 100 yard breaststroke (1:08.36) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:28.65).

#Cait Hopkins and Katey Howarter# placed third and fourth in the 200 yard freestyle. Hopkins finished the event with a time 1:57.25, while teammate Howarter posted a mark of 2:00.21. 

#Lindsey Kline# also had a strong showing in the dual, finishing in third in both the 500 yard freestyle (5:15.30) and 1000 yard freestyle (10:46.27).

The Mavericks return to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 15 when they host Kansas in a 2 p.m. dual at the HPER Pool.
