2007-08 NCC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll

As a sophomore in 2007-08: Finished second in the NCC indoor event with a 41-5 in shot put...was third in the outdoor NCC meet with a throw of 43-3 1/4, a personal record and the longest throw of the season for UNO...was first in the Northwest Missouri outdoor meet with a throw of 41-6 in shot put.

As a freshman in 2006-07: Finished sixth in the shot put, 12th in the javelin, and 13th in the discus at the 2007 Outdoor Championships.

High School: Won Iowa Class 2A state championship in the shot put as a junior...placed second as a senior...finished second in the shot put at the 2005 Drake Relays...also a member of the UNO women's basketball team...averaged 15.6 points and 8.8 rebounds as a senior...earned second-team all-state basketball honors...team MVP for basketball and volleyball where she was also a second team all-state honoree.

Personal: Born Oct. 19, 1987 in Underwood, Iowa...parents are Rod and Tammy Minssen...high school track coach was Wendy Punteney...has one brother, Nick...majoring in secondary education with a career goal of becoming a math teacher.
