Second-team All-Summit...Started all 51 games at third base, batting .302 in his senior season...Had 22 runs scored, three doubles, 18 RBI and 13 walks drawn...Led the Summit League with 16 sacrifice hits...Finished with 12 multi-hit games...Was 3-for-4 with a run scored and another driven in vs. St. Bonaventure (Feb. 25)...Had a season-best four hits against Chicago State (Feb. 28)...Went 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI against Fort Wayne (May 10)...Named to the Summit League's Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, Distinguished Scholars List and Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.
As a Junior (2013)
First-team All-Summit...Hit .274 with five doubles, 25 runs scored, five doubles and 19 RBI...Led the league after being hit by 14 pitches and was third in the conference with 10 sacrifice hits...Had 12 multi-hit games, including one with five hits...Finished 3-for-4 vs. Iowa (March 17)...Named Summit League Player of the Week on April 29...Earned the award after a four-game series split vs. North Dakota State in which he hit .625 (10-for-16) with eight RBI, six runs, two walks, two doubles, a triple and no strikeouts in 18 plate appearances, as well as a .667 on-base percentage and an .875 slugging percentage...Went 5-for-6 with four runs scored and four RBI in the series finale with NDSU (April 28)...Named to the Summit League Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence and the Summit League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll.
As a Junior (2012)
Started 14 games before sustaining a season-ending injury that secured him a medical redshirt…Tallied two doubles, four runs scored and four RBI…Had four multi-hit games to his credit…Went 3-for-5 at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, scoring once and driving in another run.
As a Sophomore (2011)
Earned third-team Academic All-District VII honors from CoSIDA...Started all 48 games he appeared in, batting .322 with 13 doubles, five home runs, 35 runs scored and 29 RBI...His 17 multiple-hit games were fourth on the team, while his eight multi-RBI contests were third...Enjoyed a 12-game hitting streak from March 4 to March 28...Went 3-for-4 with a run scored against Pittsburg State on March 12, tying his career best for hits in a game…Registered homers in back-to-back games at Fort Hays State (April 22-23)…Helped the Mavs to an 11-1 opening-round win over Washburn at the MIAA Tournament, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored…Named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for the second straight year.
As a Freshman (2010)
Selected as the MIAA Freshman of the Year and earned second-team All-MIAA honors...Also named to the Omaha World-Herald’s All-Nebraska Team...Compiled a team-leading .410 season batting average while splitting time at first base and third base...Totaled 82 hits for the year, good for second on the team in 2010 and seventh-most of any Maverick all-time...Led the squad with 22 doubles, the third-highest season total in UNO history...Had four games with multiple doubles...Named to the 2009-10 MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
Bellevue East High School
Played baseball and tennis for three years...Named to second-team all-conference in baseball as a junior... Hit .506 his senior season...Compiled a 22-8 record his senior year on the tennis court...Selected tennis player of the year by the Bellevue Leader his junior and senior years...Received academic all-state accolades in tennis his junior and senior years, and in baseball his senior year...Member of the National Honor Society.
