Biography

As a Junior (2012)
Appeared in 15 games with 13 outings on the mound, including four starts…Posted a record of 1-3 with a 5.02 ERA…Totaled 31 strikeouts over 28.2 innings pitched and held his opponents to a .279 batting average with just six extra-base hits…Made his first start at Seattle (Feb. 28), allowing one run on three hits with six strikeouts over 4.2 innings…Had the start at Northern Colorado (March 10), fanning six with no walks while giving up four runs on four hits in 2.1 innings…Took the hill in a start against LIU Brooklyn, holding the Blackbirds scoreless with five strikeouts in a season-long five innings…Earned his first win at UNLV (April 14), surrendering one run on three hits over three innings and striking out two.

As a Sophomore (2011)
Made 11 appearances with seven starts on the mound, including one complete-game effort...Had a record of 3-4 with one save and a 5.28 ERA...Struck out 33 batters to 17 walks over 44.1 innings of work, allowing his opponents a .232 batting average…Made his Maverick debut at Southwest Baptist (March 4), earning the 8-2 win with 2.1 hitless innings, five strikeouts and no walks…Recorded his first career start and took the victory against Washburn (March 19), surrendering only two hits while striking out seven…Improved to 3-0 with a 10-3 win against Lincoln (March 28), striking out four and walking one over five innings…Threw a career-long six innings at Fort Hays State (April 23)…Made his final appearance of the year in relief in the championship game of the MIAA Tournament (May 15), striking out four batters over four innings.
