Millard North High School
One of the state"s top pitchers in 2004 playing for Coach Dave Cork at Millard North High School...tabbed a first-team all-state selection by the Lincoln Journal Star and a second-team honoree by the Omaha World-Herald as a senior after helping MNHS to a 28-12 record and a state runner-up showing...went 8-2 with a 2.05 ERA, striking out 67 in 71.2 innings while holding foes to a .184 average...spent the first two years of high school at Creighton Prep before transferring to Millard North as a junior, when he went 3-3 with a 3.94 ERA to earn first-team all-conference and honorable-mention all-metro accolades...also was an accomplished swimmer, qualifying for the state meet four straight years...named MNHS Swimmer of the Year, after placing fifth in the 100-meter freestyle, fourth in the 200 free and fifth in the 200 freestyle relay...an outstanding student who graduated with a 3.86 GPA and was a member of the honor roll all four years of high school.
