Summit League Academic Honor Roll (2016, 2017)

2017 (Sophomore)
Appeared in 14 games, posting a start in eight of them…played 701 minutes of action time, including a season-best 95 minutes on Sept. 23 at Eastern Illinois…attempted two shots on goal.

2016 (Freshman)
Appeared in 11 games with six starts in his freshman campaign…tallied four shots in 768 minutes…made his collegiate debut in a 1-0 victory over Air Force on Sept. 23…played a full 90 minutes in his first career start and had his first career shot against IUPUI on Oct. 1…played a full 90 minutes vs. Eastern Illinois and at Fort Wayne.

Papillion-La Vista South High School
Hailing from Papillion, Neb., McCain graduated a semester early from Papillion-La Vista South, skipping his senior season to enroll at UNO in the 2016 spring semester… as a junior in 2015, he earned second team all-state and all-metro honors….during his high school career, McCain had 18 points on six goals and six assists in 37 games….was a four-year letter winner in cross country for the Titans and qualified for the Nebraska Class A State Cross Country Meet in 2015…a member of four-straight Nebraska State Cup Championship teams, including the last two with the Omaha Football Club.

Born May 31…. son of Chad and Melissa McCain...both of his parents played soccer at Park University in Parkville, Mo….has one brother, Jake, who iplayed four years with the Mavericks...majoring in business.
