Appeared in nine matches in midfield….accumulated a total of 168 minutes of playing time, including a season-best 56 minutes on Aug. 27 against Virginia Tech.

2016 (Sophomore)
Made two starts while appearing in all 19 games…took five starts scoring one goal…his first career goal came on Sept. 11 vs. Penn…played a career-high 63 minutes vs. Penn.

2015 (Freshman)
Appeared in nine games with two starts as a central midfielder…His first collegiate start came at Drake (Oct. 20) and played a full 110 in a 1-1 draw…Marquess' second career start came against Missouri state (Oct. 28) where he played a full 110 minutes in a 2-2 draw.

Olathe East High School
Earned two varsity letters at Olathe East under head coach Terry Hair….as a sophomore played for the Sporting Kansas City Academy program….was a varsity starter at Saint James Academy as a freshman… was a two-time Sunflower League Defender-of-the-Year…as a senior scored eight goals and added two assists…earned First Team All-Metro honors from the Kansas City Star in 2014…two-time Kansas 6-A First Team All-State selection…played club soccer for Kanas Rush Academy Blue 96/97 for head coach Daouda Kanté
