As a freshman in 2007-08: Had a personal best of 2:30.06 in the South Dakota meet in the 800m during the indoor season...during the outdoor season she was sixth in the 800m NCC race with a personal best of 2:20.45.

High School: Competed in track and cross country for coach Rod Sanikula and also played basketball...finished fifth in the 800 at the state meet as a junior and third as a sophomore and senior...set school records in the 800 (2:16), 400 (:59) and the high jump (5-4) and also was on the record-setting 4x800 and 4x400 relay teams.

Personal: Born Oct. 14, 1988...daughter of Julie and David Smith...has two brothers and one sister...majoring in early childhood education.
