GREELEY, Colo. — Opening a seven-game road stretch, Omaha baseball fell 11-7 at Northern Colorado on Friday, leaving it tied for second place in the Summit League standings.
The teams conclude their regular-season series with single games Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. CT in Greeley, Colorado. All Summit League games can be streamed live on the Summit League Network via Midco Sports.
Jackson Trout and
Tyler Bishop delivered RBI doubles in a three-run first inning for Omaha (14-22, 9-9 Summit). Freshman

Northern Colorado (13-31, 10-10 Summit) trailed 5-3 before an eight-run sixth inning. The two teams have combined for 71 runs in four games this year.

Henry Zipay,
Nick Riggs and
Edoardo Cornelli each added two-hit games for Omaha.
The Mavericks were playing for the first time since former Summit League Coach of the Year
Evan Porter announced he is stepping down at the end of the season. Porter, in his 10th campaign at the helm of his alma mater, has his team battling the Bears for second place in the Summit League standings this weekend.
After road trips to Kansas State and conference-leading Oral Roberts next week, the Mavericks return home to close out the regular season against South Dakota State from May 15-17. Tickets for all Mavericks home games are available at OMavs.com/tickets.
