Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Women's Tennis opened its home schedule with a pair of 7-0 sweeps over Concordia (Neb.) and Sioux Falls.
 
The Mavericks (2-3) hit their stride in the second match of the day against Sioux Falls (0-1). Three Mavs won their match in straight sets. Sophomore Nina Wiese (Flushing, N.Y.) kicked things off in the No. 1 singles match with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Chloe Siegfort. Freshmen Shelby Smith (Leawood, Kan.) and Grace Greenwald (Omaha, Neb.) earned their first sweeps of their dual careers at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
 
Wiese and sophomore Katelynn Kock (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) proved why they're ranked No. 82 in the country with a pair of doubles wins. The No. 1 duo defeated Concordia's Ishane Derman and Mariana Molano 6-2 and swept Sioux Falls' Siegfort and Sofiya Janos.
 
"Great start to the weekend," head coach Adam Summitt said. "We were very efficient on court today which is something I've been working on with the group all season. I'm glad they could execute at a high level. It was great to see everyone that could get a match in and win."
 
The Mavericks will take a trip to the Windy City to face UIC on Thursday, Jan. 30 and DePaul on Friday, Jan. 30.
