SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Omaha Men's Soccer graduate student forward
Theo Klein (Strasbourg, France) was named the Summit League Offensive Peak Performer of the Week, it was announced Tuesday by the league office.
Omaha's all-time leading goal scorer (21), Klein hit the game-winner, his second of the season, from the penalty spot Saturday (Sept. 27) against St. Thomas to power the Mavericks to a 1-0 start to Summit League play. Klein owns the game-winning goal in each of Omaha's two victories this season. With three goals this season, Klein is tied with sophomore forward
Maguire Perkins (Gretna, Neb.) for the team lead despite playing in just five of the side's nine fixtures in 2025. Klein's 21 career goals are tied for 19th among all Division I career leaders.
Klein, Perkins and sophomore forward
Bradley Takamo (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) are tied for the team lead in points with six.
Junior goalkeeper
Kamy Ndione (Osaka, Japan) was nominated for Defensive Peak Performer of the Week after logging his first clean sheet of the season on Sept. 27 against the Tommies, logging five saves, all of which game in the second half. Ndione has made five starts in goal for
Donovan Dowling's side, totaling 450 minutes.
Summit League action continues for the Mavericks on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. CT when Omaha visits Kansas City live on the Summit League Network.
