OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Men's Soccer fell 5-1 to UCLA Saturday in the final non-conference match of the season. Omaha closes-out the regular-season at Summit League foe Oral Roberts on Wednesday, Nov. 5 in a game with conference tournament seeding implications.
After falling behind 1-0 in the 27th minute, graduate student forward
Theo Klein (Strasbourg, France) leveled the tally in the 45th minute. UCLA exploded in the second half for four unanswered goals en route to the road victory. Klein was assisted by sophomore forward
Maguire Perkins (Gretna, Neb.) and senior midfielder
Stefan Bilinac (Lincoln, Neb.). Klein leads all Mavericks in goals this season with six. The all-time leading goal scorer in program history, Klein now owns 24 goals in four seasons.
Konstantinos Georgallides scored the first and third goals for the Bruins to finish with a brace, as did Sergi Solans, who scored the second (game-winner) and fourth goals for UCLA, respectively.
Schinieder Mimy finished off the scoring in the 69th minute.
Senior
Cole Stewart (Lee's Summit, Mo.) earned the start in goal on Senior Day, recording three saves on 13 shots faced.
