OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Volleyball is heading out on the road to begin Summit League play at South Dakota State at 7 p.m. CT on Thursday, Sept. 25 and St. Thomas at noon CT on Saturday, Sept. 27.
The Mavericks (3-6) are coming off a packed non-conference schedule that saw more Autonomous Four opponents than anyone else in the league. Omaha sits sixth in the conference standings based on overall records, while South Dakota State (6-3) sits in second and St. Thomas (7-4) currently ranked fourth. Denver led the nine-team league through non-conference play with an 8-3 record.
The Mavericks ended the non-con with two of their toughest matches of the season. Against South Florida, the final two sets of the night went into extra points with the third set having a final score of 30-28 and the fourth finished 38-36. It was the second-highest scoring set of the Division I volleyball 2025 season. Omaha then played then No. 17 Kansas to close out the opening portion of the season.

Kali Jurgensmeier (Wahoo, Neb.) and freshman
Faith Venable (Lincoln, Neb.) were both named to the 2025 Creighton Classic All-Tournament Team for their efforts during the matches against the Bulls and Jayhawks. Jurgensmeier tallied 24 kills with a hitting percentage of .274. She leads the league in points per set with 4.66.
