Volleyball returns home to face USF, No. 17 Kansas

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Volleyball returns home to Baxter Arena this weekend to close out non-conference play.

The Mavericks will face South Florida on Friday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. CT and No. 17 Kansas on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. CT. Both matches will air live on the Summit League. The Mavericks have never played South Florida, while Kansas is a familiar foe.

The Mavs and Jayhawks faced off in the first round of the 2023 NCAA tournament. Kansas, the host of the first-round site, defeated Omaha 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 28-26).

Last weekend in Ames, Iowa, Omaha tied last season's non-conference win total with a 3-1 victory over Saint Louis. They dropped to Iowa State by the same margin the following day.

Omaha leads the Summit League in hitting percentage at .259. Emily Huss sits atop the league standings in blocks per set at 2.58 and Kali Jurgensmeier leads in kills per set with 4.42.

Tickets can be purchased at OMavs.com/Tickets or by calling the Baxter Arena box office at 402-554-MAVS.
