OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha women's soccer (2-0-2, 0-0-0 Summit) wrapped up its fourth match of the 2025 campaign Sunday afternoon with a scoreless draw against Lindenwood.
- Just seven minutes into the match on Sunday afternoon at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo., sophomore Charley Kort (Lincoln, Neb.), who scored Omaha's go-ahead goal against SIUE on Aug. 21, nearly struck again, though Lindenwood goalkeeper Caroline Ritter came up with the save.
- In the 11th minute, Lindenwood answered with a shot to the low left corner of the net, but junior goalkeeper Hayley Ogden (Lehi, Utah) stretched for the stop to keep the match scoreless.
- Two minutes later, senior forward Lauren Schmidt (La Vista, Neb.) ripped a shot toward the upper right corner, however it was Ritter again with the save.
- Omaha closed the first half with a 3-1 edge in shots on-goal.
- Less than 10 minutes into the second half, graduate forward Payten Ivins (West Haven, Utah), fresh off her goal against SIUE, fired from the top of the box in the 54th minute, forcing Ritter into another diving save.
- The Mavericks finished with 14 shots, including eight on-target, while Lindenwood managed eight attempts with only two on-target.
The Mavericks return to Caniglia Field on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 7:30 p.m. CT for an in-state battle with Nebraska. Tickets are on sale now at
