OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha volleyball dropped to No. 17 Missouri, 3-0, in a home exhibition match on Saturday.
The Mavs battled in the third set and the lead went back-and-forth between the Tigers and the Mavericks. Ultimately, Missouri came out on top with a score of 25-23. The Tigers won the first set 25-15 and the second set 25-13.
A fourth set was played for practice purposes. The final score was Missouri 25-14.
Sophomore
Ella Tiarks led the Mavs offensively with nine kills. Senior
Kali Jurgensmeier was right behind her with seven.
Defensively, Tiarks and junior
Emily Huss held it down with three blocks each. Jurgensmeier logged two.
Omaha will open the season in earnest with a pair of home matches against Milwaukee. The Mavs will welcome the Panthers at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29 and again at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30.
