LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 21, 2025) – Omaha volleyball has been named a recipient of the 2024-25 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. The 2024 Mavericks finished the academic year with a 3.579 cumulative grade point average.
 
The AVCA Team Academic Award is awarded to teams with a year-long grade point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.
 
64 percent of the team was named to the dean's list or the chancellor's list in the spring 2025 semester with eight Mavs on the Dean's List and one student-athlete on the Chancellor's List.
