Box Score USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Mavericks went down to the wire in their match against Air Force tonight, tying things up with one match to go but ultimately falling just short in a 4-3 loss.

Omaha moves to 9-10, while the Falcons improve to 9-8.

After Air Force started the day by taking the first doubles match, Mikhail Korkunov and Bryan Kuntz quickly even the score with a 6-3 win, followed by a 6-2 win from Caleb Peterson and Christian Trevey to secure the doubles point.

The Falcons got off to another quick start in the singles round as they claimed the first two matches to go up 2-1. Trevey managed to even the score with a three-set victory over Langdon Tingleaf (6-4, 2-6, 6-4). After Air Force retook the lead with the next singles win, Kuntz once again tied it up at 3-3 with a marathon of a match against Alex Fritzinger. Dropping the first set 6-4, he proceeded to win set two 7-6 (7-2), before going the distance with a 7-6 (10-8) win in set three.

Down to the final match, Uppu nearly forced a third set after dropping set one 6-1 and going to tiebreakers in the second, only to fall a single point short in a 7-6 (7-5) loss.
