MESA, Ariz. - Omaha men's golf's campaign came to a close Tuesday as the Mavericks finished sixth of 11 participating squads in the 2025 Summit League Championships at the Longbow Golf Club. The par 71 course played 7,049 yards over the three-day, 54-hole event.
Oral Roberts captured the conference title and automatic qualifier to the NCAA regional round. Kevin An of the Golden Eagles earned the individual title after a three-way playoff with Denver's Willis Panzarello and South Dakota State's Tyler Seeling after the trio finished with 54-hole scores of 206 (-7).
Omaha got off to a blazing start finishing the first day of play in fifth and at multiple points during the opening round found themselves in first or tied for the top spot.
Luke Strako finished the first day of play 1-under with four birdies, including three on the second nine. Joey Baldwin's team totaled nine birdies on the opening day.
Round two belonged to the Mavericks'
Sam Vocelka as he carded a 3-under round of 68, bolstered by the Mavericks' lone eagle of the weekend on No. 1. Vocelka went even-eagle-even on the par five during the event.
Multiple Mavericks finished the final round in red figures with
Spencer Clatt leading the way at 3-under (68) and Strako again at 1-under. Clatt birdied in three of the final four holes going in.
Clatt finished the event at 215 (+2) to finished T16 overall, leading all Mavericks with rounds of 76, 71 and 68.
