COLUMBUS, Ohio - Omaha men's golf finished 12th of 13 competing teams in the Robert Kepler Invitational hosted by Ohio State at the Ohio State Golf Club. The par 71 course 7,455 yards during the two-day, three round event.
The host Buckeyes took the team title, finishing 24 strokes over par, followed by Nebraska, Kent State and fellow Summit League squad Kansas City. Cal Poly's Baron Szeto, ranked No. 129 in the country, overcame a first round score of 72 to card rounds four-under and and two-under to take the individual crown at five-under.
Thunder Suwannapratheep led Omaha to crack the top 30 at No. 29 on the individual leaderboard, shooting 77 (+6), 74 (+3) and 76 (+5). Suwannapratheep carded Omaha's low round of the tournament with his 74 in the second round Friday.
Omaha combined for 22 birdies and made par 142 times.
Luke Strako's six birdies marked the Mavericks' most over the weekend, followed by
Spencer Clatt's five.
