Getting to know these student-athletes through the recruiting process and as they've developed over the last year, I am tremendously excited about the quality of people we are adding to our program."

Cora Metcalf
Metcalf joins the Mavericks with accolades already under her belt. As a junior, Metcalf was named All-EDC and All-State Tournament Team. She led her team to back-to-back conference championships as a junior and sophomore. Metcalf's sophomore season ended in a state championship.

Buttermore on Metcalf:
"Cora is a great athlete who could make an impact at either pin in our program. We are looking forward to working with her to develop her talents. She also brings a lot of winning experience playing for one of the best high school programs in North Dakota."

Dara Obeid
Obeid has led her team to three straight HCAA championship appearances and secured the win for her team as a sophomore. A three-year starter, Obeid was named Most Promising Female Athlete her freshman season. She followed that up with the Junior Female Athlete of the Year award as a sophomore.

Buttermore on Obeid:
"We are looking forward to Dara making an impact defensively and offensively in the middle for us. She brings in a lot of playing experience and as well as a commitment to making the people and systems around her better. We look forward to having in her in our gym every day."

Kate Schroetlin
Schroetlin joins the Mavs fresh off her team's second state tournament run in program history. She led her team to the state tournament as a junior as well with back-to-back regional championships. As a junior, Schroetlin garnered all-state honorable mention and all-conference honors.

Buttermore on Schroetlin:
"Kate is a dynamic libero who will likely make an impact right away in our gym. She is a complete all-around player and tremendous athlete who will make plays to extend rallies and build momentum in matches. More importantly, she is a great competitor and teammate."
