SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha Volleyball junior
Emily Huss (Fairbury, Neb.) has been named the Summit League Kwik Star Defensive Peak Performer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Through three matches last week, Huss recorded 15 assisted blocks and averaged 1.70 blocks per set. The middle blocker tallied nine assisted blocks in a sweep of Oral Roberts (Oct. 25).
Huss has led the league in blocks per set (1.58), assisted blocks (96) and total blocks (109) for most of the season. Currently, she is sixth in the country in blocks per set and 13th in total blocks.
Omaha Volleyball is back at home this week to face South Dakota State on Thursday, Oct. 30. at 7 p.m. CT. Starting at 6 p.m. CT, kids will be able to trick-or-treat around the concourse of Baxter Arena with Omaha student-athletes and corporate partners. Tickets are available at
