SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Omaha Women's Golf's Katie Ruge (Omaha, Neb.) was named the Kwik Star Summit League Peak Golfer of the Week, it was revealed Thursday.

The senior led Omaha with a second-place finish at the Diane Thompson Invitational, hosted by Iowa, earlier this week. Ruge shot rounds of 72 (E), 73 (+1) and 72 (E) to finish 1-over on the week with 10 birdies, the fourth most overall at the event. She logged four birdies each in the first and final rounds of play.

Now in her second campaign with the Mavericks, Ruge was the second-best golfer in the field on par-4 holes, averaging 4.03 strokes behind the leader, Montana State's Lauren Greeny (3.97).

Ruge averaged 2-under-par on par-5 holes.

Omaha concludes the fall season on Oct. 13-14 with the Big O Classic, hosted by Omaha and Creighton, at Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha, Neb.
