OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Women's Soccer (5-6-4, 2-2-1 Summit) was unable to hold on its first half lead against South Dakota State Sunday, as the Mavericks allowed three unanswered Jackrabbit goals at Fishback Field in Brookings, S.D. to fall, 3-1.
Tim Walters' Mavericks return to action Sunday, Oct. 19 at Caniglia Field in Omaha, Neb. against Denver with kickoff set for 12 p.m. CT on the Summit League Network.

Presley Douglas (Elkhorn, Neb.) who put the Mavericks ahead 1-0 slotting the ball into the far-right corner of the net for her second goal of the season. This marked Dobbestein's sixth assist of the season.
The Mavs dominated the first half with 11 shots, including six on-goal, while the Jackrabbits recorded six shots with none on-target. Omaha also held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
In the 64th minute, Jenna Maloy equalized for the Jackrabbits. Nine minutes later, teammate Emma Brezenski gave SDSU its first lead of the match, 2-1, which she followed up with the game-winner in the 83rd minute to cement the 3-1 victory for the home side.
Through 15 fixtures in 2025, 14 different Mavericks have scored.
Omaha will face Denver for the 16th time in series history Sunday at Caniglia Field. The Mavericks and the Pioneers' last matchup ended in a 1-1 draw on Oct. 17, 2024.
Denver, currently second in the Summit League table, enters Sunday's matchup 7-4-4 overall and 4-4-1 in the Summit.
Leading the Pioneers with four goals this season is redshirt junior defender Emma Thielbahr, while senior midfielder Isabella Chidiac leads Denver with seven assists.
Omaha returns home for its final regular season matches at Caniglia Field in Omaha, Neb. on Thursday Oct. 23, facing off against South Dakota at 7 p.m. CT, followed by the regular-season finale on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. CT. Both matches will be streamed live on the Summit League Network.
