OMAHA, Neb. Omaha Swimming and Diving sophomores
Ava Johnson (Omaha, Neb.) and
Owen Kipp (Eagan, Minn.) were named the Summit League's Kwik Star Peak Divers of the Week, it was announced Tuesday after collecting individual victories on Oct. 10 against Iowa Western and Saint Mary.
On Friday, Oct. 10, Johnson won the 3-meter event with her score of 222.90 points, while Kipp won the 3-meter event and set a personal best with a mark of 353.40 points.
"Congratulations to Ava and Owen on their recognition from the Summit League this week," said Omaha diving coach
Eric Sprague. "Ava has been working hard to improve her list and competed with great determination last weekend. Owen's approach to training this season has set a good example for the team and is certainly paying off with how he's performing."
Omaha returns to action Oct. 17–18 in St. Paul, Minn., competing against St. Thomas at Anderson Pool. The Mavericks will compete at 6 p.m. CT Friday and 10 a.m. CT Saturday.
